The Obento Box (take-away lunch box) lesson will be held on May 30th. This is a standard type of obento which many mothers (or fathers) prepare for children’s lunches. People who prepare obento boxes care very much about the balance in nutrition and also the colors of the ingredients. We want children to think oishisou! meaning looks delicious!
For the lesson on May 30th, the following will be in the obento box: egg omelette (yellow), flavored spinach (green), deep-fried pork, flavored with Japanese Worcestershire sauce (brown), simmered flower-shaped carrots (orange), stuffed fish sausage (white) and rice are mixed with eda-mame and small dried sardines.
